Notes from Home

We ran a few errands today...

KROGER: "Howdy, pardner"

CVS: "Can I get some help around here? Oh, there you are..."

STARBUCKS: "I love coffee!" (which tastes amazingly like...water!)

CHURCH: (Noah's favorite seat in our church)

Meanwhile, a few developments:

- PARTY TIME - Two days this week, Noah's had a party in his crib during naptime. At first, I thought the thumping was our neighboring teenager playing his drums, but no, it was my one-year-old doing somersaults in his crib. For an hour-and-a-half.

- BABY TANTRUMS - Late in the day, Noah has started expressing his anger over weighty matters, like one cup not fitting inside the other, or me not letting him eat my phone. The tantrums are short, mild, and easy to ignore, but I see the future...

- ONE STEP BACK - True to form, Noah has not attempted the stairs in a week. It's almost like he has a spike in bravado (standing, climbing, stairs) and then returns to his comfort zone before branching out again. We'll see if that pattern holds.

- SHOES FOR ME? - I got out some shoes yesterday to see if they'd fit Noah, and he liked the idea. He'd take them off and hold them up to me--along with his feet--so I'd put them back on. This while he spent 20minutes playing with an empty jewelry box. Shoes? Jewelry? The kid's got taste.
