A Lotta People

After watching his all-time favorite show this morning, Noah gave me the gangsta recap:

Me: What was Curious George about today?
N: George messed up the recycling.
Me: But I bet it all worked out ok, right?
N: No. It didn't. He got in trouble.
Me: Did he have to go to timeout?
N: No, they sent him to prison.

Then driving to church this evening, Noah was chattering the whole way. My mind wandered for a little while, and then something he said caught my attention...

N: How many people are there? There's 6 billion people.
Me: Wow! That's right Noah! How did you know that?
N: Daddy told me. Last night.
Me: Well you're right, there are 6 billion people on Earth.
N: Actually, that's more than I expected. I thought there were five. (pause) Six billion is more than a thousand.
Me: Yes, yes it is.
