A Birthday & A Baptism

This weekend, we celebrated the oldest and newest members on my side of our family - my dad Saturday and son Sunday. My heart feels full and happy from all the smiles, conversations, reunions, laughter, prayer, food, and memories we shared in less than 48 hours...
SaturDay: Farmers' market, french toast, baseball,
Costco, basketball, kale & sweet potatoes,
Legos, snuggles, "Earth," and silliness.
I just wish I'd gotten more pics of everyone!
SaturNight: Started with an early dinner -- pizza for the kids at our house,
Boxwood Bistro for the adults. Which seemed to make everyone happy.
SaturNight (cont): Finished at home with ice cream cake, presents, and a photo montage for the septuagenarian. ;)

Sunday we initiated Isaac into our church family with a little sprinkling...
After 13 years at Christ Pres, it means so much to know our boys are
growing up in such a strong community. It's cliche but true:
It takes a village.

 And the after-party...



I do not deserve such a great family. I didn't earn it. Most people don't get one. I can't explain it. But I am so, so thankful for it.
