Visiting a few Greats

A couple weeks ago, we drove two hours north to Noah's great-grandparents' farm for a bonfire and hayride with my (middle) brother and his family. Between the smores and wild turkeys and Gigi hugs and matchbox cars and walking sticks and uncles and root beer and biscuits w/gravy and Maggie the dog (real) and mini dinosaurs (not real) and dark-chocolate brownies and Papa hugs and PERFECT weather, we didn't have any fun, as you can see... ;)

Then, two days later, we visited great Maw-maw in her new digs at the Masonic home. She was sweet and gentle, as always, while Noah crawled about her bed, pulled her flowers, ate her banana, mauled her figurines, and pointed at everything in (and out) of sight...
We are SOOO thankful for great grandparents!!

p.s. I actually wrote the above entry hours ago. Minutes ago, we got a call that (great) Maw-maw passed away today. She was a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother with a big heart. She will be dearly missed.
